You've got questions. We've got answers.

What is ADAS?

ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.  These are safety features in newer model vehicles that assist drivers and alert them to potential dangers.  Examples of ADAS features include adaptive cruise control, automated braking, blind spot monitoring, and lane departure warnings.

These systems use cameras and sensors embedded in your vehicle, including windshields and other glass.  It is vital that these be re-calibrated when auto glass is replaced to ensure the systems are functional and working properly to keep you safe!

How do I know if I need ADAS calibration?

We can help advise you on the ADAS features in your vehicle, and whether re-calibration is needed.  Our online quote form asks you some basic questions to help determine the specific features and needs of your vehicle.

Is re-calibration really that important or necessary?

Yes!  The ADAS safety features in your vehicle use very advanced and sensitive equipment.  It is vital that these systems be properly calibrated to ensure they perform their intended safety functions properly.  An improperly calibrated sensor or camera can cause these vital safety systems to fail.

ADAS calibration is important after any service or incident that may disturb or impact the cameras and sensors.  This can include minor fender benders, glass repair, and even routine service. In order to work as intended, the sensors should be checked and re-calibrated after any potential incident.

If in doubt, contact us!  We would be happy to advise you on re-calibration needs and recommendations.

What if insurance doesn't cover my service?

If you have insurance, we will work with your agent to file a claim and determine what is or isn't covered, and your deductible or expected out-of-pocket costs.

If you don't have insurance, or if it isn't fully covered, we will give you an estimate for the out-of-pocket cost for the repair/replacement so you know exactly what your cost will be.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

We make it easy to schedule a mobile appointment at your location. Use our easy booking tool to select the day, time, and location.  We offer multiple bookings in areas throughout the twin cities, so we can usually get you in without a long wait.  Schedule an appointment now.
